Student Quality Circle (SQC)

1. Introduction

To ensure the continuous improvement of the academic and administrative quality of the campus, a Student Quality Circle (SQC) shall be formed. The SQC serves as a responsible student body that collects and communicates students’ suggestions, feedback, opinions, and concerns to support quality enhancement initiatives within the campus.

2. Objectives

The objectives of the Student Quality Circle are:
  • To provide suggestions, feedback, and recommendations to campus administration regarding academic programs, regular classes, extracurricular activities, student services, and other campus-related matters.
  • To contribute to the continuous improvement and quality assurance of academic and administrative services.
  • To facilitate communication between students and campus administration for quality enhancement.

4. Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

The Student Quality Circle (SQC) Executive Committee shall:

  • Conduct discussions among students to identify problems, concerns, expectations, and suggestions, and submit recommendations to the campus administration for appropriate action.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between students and campus administration regarding academic and administrative quality improvement.
  • Recommend and support workshops, seminars, training programs, educational visits, and other activities that enhance students’ knowledge, skills, and motivation.
  • Review campus services and facilities and provide suggestions for improvement where necessary.
  • Provide recommendations concerning curriculum enhancement and improvements in the examination system.
  • Identify students from disadvantaged, marginalized, or vulnerable backgrounds and coordinate with the Student Welfare Section to ensure necessary support.
  • Identify students requiring additional academic assistance and recommend appropriate support mechanisms.
  • Promote awareness of the campus code of conduct and encourage respect toward faculty members, staff, and campus leadership.
  • Coordinate with campus administration to organize activities that strengthen students’ academic, professional, and personal development.
  • Promote equality, inclusiveness, mutual respect, and harmonious relationships among students, irrespective of religion, culture, language, ethnicity, gender, age, geographic region, economic status, physical condition, disability, political belief, or other backgrounds.
  • Discourage and help prevent discrimination, harassment, bullying, violence, ragging, and other prohibited activities within the campus community.
  • Inform campus administration of serious disciplinary concerns and assist in ensuring fair and appropriate action.
  • Comply with university regulations and campus directives and encourage students to do the same.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, inclusive, and academically conducive campus environment.

This Student Quality Circle (SQC) framework is established to strengthen student participation in quality assurance and institutional development while maintaining academic integrity, discipline, and inclusiveness.
