Elemental analysis and their quantification in foods and different plant species through modern analytical techniques such as capillary electrophoresis, inductively coupled plasma mass Spectrometry, High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Ion Chromatography, etc. Achievements:  Published scientific research articles in the recognized journals of significant impact factors.

Analysis of eco-toxicological impacts on soil and plant:

Effects of plant nutrients in the soil and their impacts on toxicity and uptake of different hazardous elements by plants, correlation study of different elements in the paddy rice field to prevent toxicological effects in soil, plant, and human health. The antagonistic effects of Se(IV)/Se(VI) and As species on the migration of As species from paddy soil to rice grain.

Achievements: Published scientific research articles in the recognized SCI journals of significant impact. Achieve expertise in the analysis of the eco-toxicological effect of plant nutrition.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Expertise in IC-ICP-MS, AAS, GC-MS, HPLC, origin software, R and SPSS.
  • A sound knowledge to handle the Microwave-assisted digestion and Microwave-assisted enzymatic extraction of selenium and arsenic species.
  • Expertise in multi-element detection as well as speciation analysis of organo-metallic species and the development of an experimental protocol.
